Hello Beautiful People

It's currently winter in South Africa , so I've swapped my flip flops for boots and sneakers i mean i wore sneakers in winter but now my little feet are wrapped in woolly warm socks. 

Hot chocolate , warm blankets , movies , baking and cuddles is whats on the agenda for this winter , one thing I am grateful for is that we have days in winter when the weather in 30 degrees. Yes in winter so i have not tucked my monokini too far away , i know the sun will come out on of these days.

Work is a learning experience after the few months I've spent working in an office I'm leaning toward becoming a travel writer and fine artist , after spending six months in London i realize that the world is waiting for me to explore it , i simply can't watch life pass me by.

I've also started to take yoga a little more seriously , for me it's more about finding a balance between my body and mind. God will sort out the rest , speaking of God I've been a child of God for most of my life , i feel like I'm going through a teenage rebels stage with my Father.

I don't you you understand , he has a plan for me and I really can't wait to see my life unfold. I'm learning to lean on Gods timing , to see everything weather good or bad as part of His plan for my life , continue to seek Him , pray and make him part of every single thing in my life.

The pictures above just inspire me the blue jump suit is so amazing i could live in that this winter , i just love prints and bold colors , who said winter had to be black and grey. I'm loving the black and white trend , I've always loved the color white and I've always been a stripes girl , weather it be pants , stripes and sheer or just a lovely  stripped maxi dress. Stripes are so tres chic.

Hello Beautiful People

Feeling rather chirpy today , the sun is shining and having a good time at work and drafting my second fashion story , Im buzzing. In my spare time at work i go through my blog roll , saving anything intresting and reading as much as i can Education is key always. Your never too old to learn.

For all my international readers you may not be familiar with  Miss Pearl Thusi , she's a well know model , tv presenter and mother. I read a fashion friend daily , obessesively would be an understatment. We need more publication in South Africa that support local designers.

Back to Pearl , don't you just love this editorial ? Personally i love location shoots, the clothing, her hair "i died" her hair is amazing major hair envy , we could do a post on just how amazing her hair is , wow oh my hair. Enough about her hair. Love her energy and the retro rock n roll inspired styling "Jimmi Hendrix comes to mind. Black and White photography is amazing the contrast and the casted shadows , give the images depth and emotion.

Down town Joburg the best backdrop for this super cool ,edgy shoot.

Hello Lovlies

Color , geometric shapes , sheer fabrics and classic structures were the trends at SAFW last week.

Unfortunatly did not get to attended fashion week this year , infact I've never been would love the oppotunity , but one day thou.

I loved Black Coffee's collection , really thought it was fashion forward and on trend , I'm not one to follow many trends but i love the illusion the sheer cat suit and the dresses are giving.

Show skin but don't show to much skin , i also loved Stoned Cherrie but however i do think the peplum trend had been done to death and some one needs to make it stop. I love Stoned Cherrie's use of color , prints and there sexy siliouttes.

We're Africans and as much as i love international trends we need to create our own , were so diverse and rich in cultures , were creative our heritage and past in well known on an international scale. We forget how influntial we are as a nation.

I would like to welcome all my new readers , its been about a month since i've been on the blog im busy for very good reasons , interning at the Herald News paper local newspaper here in Port Elizabeth. Its been a pretty busy and good three weeks and i'm loving every minute of it.

I recently did a mini shoot with my friend you guys should all be familiar with Christine Visser , my very talented photograoher friend , i was styling and doing make up for our beautiful model friend Caitlin who recently did the big chop she is one brave lass.

Hello Beauties 

Been having a really lazy week , don't ask unemployed girl problems but the blog keeps be busy so does painting and cleaning my room and cooking amongst a whole host of other things i do too occupy the time. 

Growing up i always wanted too secretly be a model , i even had this model dairy where i would record my weight , size and height throughout the early years of my teens , i was obsessed with fashion , magazines and just the beauty , freedom and travel that came with being a model. 

I am no where near being a model , it was just a pipe dream , a girl can dream right ? If i ever had too pick some models too aspire too it would be Abby Lee , Freja and Erin , amongst the beauty that is carried by these 6 ft tall gorgeous women , what truly stands out too me is their unique looks , outside the hair , make up and air brushing. 

I believe when you work in an industry where , how you look is dictated too you , its often really hard too stand out , and i feel its really hard too find your unique personal style , when your being told what too wear , how too look and how too walk. 

The ladies have shown too be true chameleons in front of the camera as well as remain true to their looks and identities away from the lights. Nothing is as more beautiful as women who knows who she is in society and is willing too stand by it.

If i had too give these ladies a name collectively , they all stand alone in the respective identities , the rebels , their tattooed bodies , freedom in their style and easy going nature , their not just models , but role models for other aspiring models who hope too be apart of the industry. Simple never loose your true identity , always do you , but remain professional in all that you do.

Hello Lovers

Don't you just love , being in love ? Well since it is the month of love i only find it fitting too do a post on love , they say the best things in life are free , love included. I believe there's no greater feeling in life , then having someone who loves you , someone who calls you everyday just too remind you not too forget your beautiful.

Even on your worst day ever , still finds you irresistible , with that being said i really do hope every one had an amazing valentines day , and for those ladies and gents out there who are still single , dont sweat it a friend of mine once said "if a flower can grow through concrete , love will find you no matter where you are in life"

The greatest things are worth waiting for , they come in different seasons of our lives , when we stop asking , looking or hoping for them, they come when the time is right. 

Love will find you , just wait for your season , oh and dont forget Love comes from God his the source , so pray and He shall give you love , when the time is right.
