Wie gehts dir ? 

My attempt at Deutsche, I'm doing really well work is what i do most weeks I work for a publishing company in Bird Street, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. 

The pictures above are images from the National Arts Festival , ahhh the weather was bliss. G Town as it's casually know is so cold in winter, it even snows yes snows. This year sadly did not see any snow but the weather surprisingly was amazing, the middle of winter and i could still hop around town in a cute little velvet frock. 

The last time i did a post about my relationship status was just over 2 years ago, and 2 years later tee hee, I'm such a happy little girl. I was one of those girls post my break up who were on some I'm going to wait five years before i get into another relationship. 

He just happened, to me we met on the beach, i was walking with my friend and saw him, kept seeing him for the next month on the beach, then magically it all happened. Love is a beautiful thing when it's right, and when the love you give is the same love you receive. 

I'm blessed to share time with an incredible human being, a man, who is kind , loving , funny , smart and really hard working. Who goes HAM in church with me during praise and worship. Who never forgets to remind me to pray before we eat. 

It's the little things I guess that make a relationship beautiful, its not even about the time phrase its the two souls coming together and exploring love that God has gifted them. Being 25 years , you really start to change I've changed a lot from the past two years. 

I'm stronger , I'm wiser and more independent, and in control of my emotions and thoughts and actions. I'm beautiful the way God said it should be , I forgive more and i love cautiously. 

Most of my friends are either mothers , or due to walk down the isle. I won't compare myself or ask when will it happen for me, children are such blessings but also a lot of hard work and money and for now i could use that money to travel the world, stuff my face with macaroons and a girl can never have to many shoes right?  

Life is beautiful, it gets better with time i promise you. There are millions of people all over the world who are in pain, fighting to hold and and slowly losing grip. That was where i was last year, slowly losing grip, all i can say is don't give up on love, finding a job, finding peace , getting closer to God. Those are some of the issues i dealt with and God provided. 

His got so much more in store for me and I'm looking forward to that. Came across a really beautiful wedding video and while listening to the music, the life changing moment in the video was the vows that were said i have to share. 

Dear Future Husband : I will honor you as my spiritual head, I follow you as you follow Christ. 
I will cover you in prayer. I am reminded that every good and perfect gift comes from above, husband you are truly a gift and I  will spend the rest of my life treating you as such. I will be led by you as you have been led by Christ.

I'm stealing these for when one day , i get married and as long as it's according to Gods will, I'm in.

Hello Lovers

Don't you just love , being in love ? Well since it is the month of love i only find it fitting too do a post on love , they say the best things in life are free , love included. I believe there's no greater feeling in life , then having someone who loves you , someone who calls you everyday just too remind you not too forget your beautiful.

Even on your worst day ever , still finds you irresistible , with that being said i really do hope every one had an amazing valentines day , and for those ladies and gents out there who are still single , dont sweat it a friend of mine once said "if a flower can grow through concrete , love will find you no matter where you are in life"

The greatest things are worth waiting for , they come in different seasons of our lives , when we stop asking , looking or hoping for them, they come when the time is right. 

Love will find you , just wait for your season , oh and dont forget Love comes from God his the source , so pray and He shall give you love , when the time is right.

Zoe Kravitz + Penn Badgely = Zenn

Refreshing are the words that come to mind, when i describe one the most diverse yet authentic couple. Love is as simple as you allow it to become , they describe love in seasons , the summer or winter. Referring to the logical illusion that your relationship will either be as cold as ice or as hot as a summers day. 

We all know Zoe Kravitz , the daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonnet. Zoe is very private about her life , i don't blame her we live in a society where you can make money of being famous , and she simply wants to do is be an actress and a musician , and still maintain a pretty simple life. 

I have much respect for her as a person and the choices she makes , but can we just discuss the totes amazing men she has dated how beautiful and free spirited ? I'd much rather discuss Zoe and Penn , Hipster , Retro , Indie Couple , they have been labeld all sorts of things. 

Can we call it 'refreshing' , free in each others skin kinda love , carefree , not alluded by the status quo of the 'A' typical nonsensical way of how Hollywood couples should conduct their relationship. In the public eye "yawn".

When i look at their pictures be it , print or online media , their love remains constant , they display friendship and understanding , love what fascinates me most about them is the fascination they have for each other. The way he smiles at her , the way she looks at him. The spaces they leave in between the spaces they occupy together. 

It just simply works , like milk and cookies before bed , it just makes sense. Bizarre i know to compare a relationship to milk and cookies before bed. There's a balance of sweet and something some what in between. Zenn , a zenn like feeling 'referring to peace and perfect balance' . 

I don't aspire to a relationship some what similar to what they have for each other have , i aspire to have love that is care-free , God driven ,  by hope and and not limited by time. 

Love never gives up , is always hopeful and faithful.

Heya 

Summer love single or taken there is nothing as sweet as a summer romance , a love that is driven by time and lived out under shady trees , blue skies and late nights. Summer romances are sweet because they are not forever , they are a brief time a short dream , with no expectations or love lost.


Only time will tell the growth of the love. We meet again on our own space and time , just like the summer full of promise and hope. Love last , summer love is brief.

Found these amazing pictures on tumblr and just fell in love with them so beautiful. I just had to share love is amazing and as much as i want that feeling back , when your in it , your like a twitching drug addict ready for your next fix.


As beautiful as love is , it's also addictive and toxic , i want the love that is real and whole some i want the 1 Corinthians 13 kinda of love , the pure love untainted in it's raw state that kinda of love that is gifted by God and God alone. Not society , media and desire.


I will wait for you , as God has long waited for me. 

Crazy/Beautiful

I know i'm such a hopeless romantic but this has got to be one of the most awesome indie movies i have watched apart from the amazing cinematography , the lovely indie bands on the sound track of the film and the sexy Mr Jay Hernandez. It's a love story about to people from completely different circumstances who dis-spite came together and made it work.

This movie is a true depiction of modern love , it's one of the most natural movies and it speaks to me and has a great message that all those people you encounter all have a role to play. Love is so so deep and goes beyond our on perception.

Jungle.Fever

Just gotta love contrast , i think it's beautiful well most people i know think it's beautiful. Two different worlds brought together through love , understanding , faith and trust. I think being in an interracial relationship must probably be the most difficult relationship there is speaking from experience.

The Culture difference , the families coming to terms with your relationship and even a language or cultural difference , having been in a mixed relationship has made a lot of people curious asking me so many question , is it true that white guys do this or that. 

I think it's not really weather his black or white it's really down to what kind of a person he is , people may automatically assume because he is white he will pay for the bill at the restaurant , he will buy you flowers he will be more affectionate etc. Basically he will treat you better then a brother will , hmmm well as i said you get African / Black men who are just as affectionate and as loving as white men are. 

If there is one thing I've learnt is fall in love with the person inside and out , interracial relationships work if he understands you and is willing to embrace your culture , if this is not the case then it won't work out. My ex was not willing to embrace the culture and wanted things to go his way or no way , which is a bit selfish which is also linked to his personality.     

Love is not just black and white nor is it like a straight strip , there are challenges in every relationship , but if you love someone so much you will be willing to do all you can to be with them , despite what others think or the the obstacles ahead. Love is also not for the faint hearted , it might not work out and if it does not it just simply was not meant to be.

The great thing about relationships , is you learn so much about about the other person you grow together , learn and experience from each other , a friend of mine Lucy once said : " Mixed race children are the combination of best of both worlds , you get two of the best DNA  genes fighting against each other." I thought to myself hmmm , this is actually so so true. 

Let's just focus on the relationship first before we can think of children , it's not a matter of the grass is greener on the other side , it's just a matter of interest , compatibility and unity. Be with someone who will lift you up as a person , who will complement you and work in harmony with you , and i need to learn this but a picture is worth 1000 words . You may see certain couples and wish wow i really wish that was me , ahhh they are so cute together , they look so happy , i wish that was me  i tend to do that a lot. 

STOP IT ! we all have a journey and they may be happy now but you have no idea what they had to go through to get to that happiness , people may seem in-sync in public , but when there's no audience we have no idea what really goes on. 

I believe the greatest love stories , are the ones where the couple has had to endure so much hardship and struggles , why you may ask ?  Because you have to fight for what you love , and after using all you have to fight for the love of your life when you finally get to be with that person it's liked , i worked so hard to be with him , I'm never letting him go again , never.

You learn to appreciate that person and the love , think "Romeo and Juliet" , how despite their families being constantly at war with one another , they were willing to do what ever it takes to be together , the notebook , something new all the soppy romantic movies people often complain about there is a message there behind every story is a lesson learnt.

Ask yourself next time what can i learn from this particular love story ?

God closes one door he opens another, never give up on love remember love is from God and he is the greatest Lover of your life , because he will never hurt you.
